Alas no Dust Jacket else the price would start at £2000 but still a very scarce book with a low start bid. Illustrated throughout by the Great Pauline Baynes. The b/w frontis is in fine condition and the book shows just the date of first published in 1952 to the final page showing this to be the very scarce True UK First Edition. Clean pages throughout with a hint of foxing to the outer page block else super with NO inscriptions and the original map endpapers. Internally the book is excellent presenting well. The book sits nice and square with nice sharp corners. The spine has faded from sunlight else super. This is a very good example with clean bright covers which are relatively unmarked.
The book is bound in its original cloth covers with silver titles to the spine. I have First Editions of all seven titles listed now so be sure to check out my other items as such a collection doesn`t appear for sale very often. Published in the UK in 1952 this is the correct First Printing and is a very difficult title to find.
